California Cryobank in the Big Apple

filed under: NYC, sperm, sperm bank, insemination, anonymous donor,

Long-time Choice Mom supporter California Cryobank announced at the New York City event in July 2010 that it was opening a New York branch office in the fall. It will be located across from Grand Central Station, at 369 Lexington. The benefit for Choice Moms is....

being able to store vials locally without having to worry about possible winter weather delays, equipment failure, or expensive shipping fees associated with Federal Express. Instead, local pick-up and messenger options for specimen delivery to your physician’s office will be available.

As they report, this also means that the "outstanding young men of New York" will be eligible to apply to their donor program and potentially join the existing pool of candidates from Los Angeles, Boston, and San Francisco.

i'm planning to TTC beginning next spring/summer, and i've been looking most into PRS (pacific reproductive services - also in california) because they have the largest number of willing-to-be-known donors. knowing that california cryobank is opening a branch where i live in nyc will hopefully give me more options, and if so, definitely more convenience. thanks for posting this!
