While I don't think Mothers have a corner on this market, this blog post from On Being points out one of the fundamental soulful ways all parents can make a mark on building our better world. And I think, slowly, we're getting there, generation by generation creating a more benevolent society.
Sometimes, I know, it doesn't seem like it. And some disagree that benevolence and compassion is what life is about. Often it's hard to share both, especially if you're struggling personally or as a family.
But read this short guest blog and then come back here and comment.
Do you agree that our job is to grow souls?
One woman quoted said, "Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed." Many parents understand this. But I think Choice Moms in particular experience an unusual transformation in this way, because of the particular journey we are on. Do you think that enables us to help our children evolve with a unique consciousness of being as well?
